There are multiple ways to add athletes to your Dashboard. Note that each athlete requires a Roster Spot and the Roster Spot can not be transferred from one athlete to another.
Bulk upload - this is the preferred method for uploading a bunch of athletes.
On the Athletes tab, select what roster you would like the athletes to be added to - having "All Athletes" selected will upload all the athletes but they will not be in a roster. You can move them over one at a time later, but it is suggested you upload them into a roster if you are using the roster features (mainly just another way to sort the athletes).
Press the "Upload Athletes" button and you will get a pop-up that wants you to drag an Excel file over to upload (note that using Excel is required on some computers/browsers, if you are having issues uploading - contact us at info@dashrsystems.com and we can help).
Press the "Download Template" button to get the most recent template for uploading athletes.
In this template there will be some example athletes to show you how things are inputted. Check those out, then delete those rows.
Add in the appropriate data on the athlete, First, Middle, and Last name are required, but you can add in other data if you wish.
The far right column is "BadgeID" - this is the number you can assign your athlete to pull them up in the app (see AutoID - Numeric Entry for more details on this). Note the the athlete can also be selected from a list of all your athletes, but if you have a lot of athletes we suggest using the Badge ID.
Once complete, save the file then drag it over to the pop-up to upload. If everything checks out, the system will let you know!
