How it works

Built on Dashr distance modules

BioStation uses Dashr distance measurement modules mounted where they record height, reach and wingspan, and a Bluetooth scale for weight. Every measurement goes straight to the athlete’s profile, so there is nothing to type in.

Software and requirements

What you need to run Dashr

No surprises at checkout: here is what comes with every kit, what is optional, and what you supply.

Included

Free Dashr app and online Dashboard

Run your tests from the Dashr app on iOS or Android. Results save to the online Dashboard, and your account starts with 10 free athlete profiles (roster spots).

Optional

More athletes, your way

Add roster spots from $20; they never expire. Or invite athletes through the free Player Profile app and skip roster spots entirely. Athletes can unlock extra app features for $3 a month or $30 a year.

Required

A compatible phone or tablet

Android 9 or newer, or iOS 15 or newer (not included). No data plan needed. Each drill you run at the same time needs its own device.

FAQ

Biometrics questions, answered

What do I mount the station on?

The included hardware fits walls, frames and racks. The wall, frame or rack itself is not included.

Can I measure broad jump too?

Yes. The Distance systems included with BioStation and Bio LITE also measure broad jump.

How does the scale connect?

The Bio Scale is a Bluetooth scale. Register it in the Dashr app like a laser, then weigh athletes from the app’s biometrics screen. A button on the scale switches between kilograms and pounds.

Do I need a phone or tablet?

Yes: an Android (9.0 or newer) or iOS (15.0 or newer) device, not included.
