The Dashr 2.0 timing system has a maximum range of 60 yards/meters so a single system could not record a 100 m or 200 m linear sprint or around a track. The 60 yard limit is line of sight, so you can have a course with a start and finish within 60 yards of each other.
You could also "daisy chain" systems together and add up results, but this is not what the system was designed for. It is designed for performance testing/training at distances up to 60 yards.
if we wanted to do 20 meter flys with multiple athletes at one time. what would we need to do this, is this possible?
Hey Dave, you would need to have multiple lanes set-up, each with its own timing gates and phone/tablet to control it. So for a 20m fly you would need 2 gates (start/stop), the Elite Kit with 4 gates would allow you to have 2 athletes running at the same time - assuming you had a device to control each lane (add on a Dash kit for each additional lane, or multiple Elite kits for larger numbers of lanes). For example, our larger combine events might have 4-6 lanes of the 40 yd dash running at the same time.
